La rubrica ” In Cammino, paesaggi e genti d’Abruzzo” ideata e curata dal prof. Vincenzo Battista con i suoi articoli e le sue fotografie ci conduce, con una scadenza mensile, in un viaggio nel tempo e nello spazio alla ricerca di luoghi, simboli e rituali di un Abruzzo nascosto e poco conosciuto al grande pubblico di Internet.

“Il viaggio”, infatti, di Vincenzo Battista che ci condurrà nei luoghi più disparati della Regione Abruzzo, è anche” il viaggio della memoria”, delle appartenenze, delle radici, alla ricerca delle identità culturali che hanno così caratterizzato questa terra posta tra gli Appennini e il mare. La rubrica ” In cammino” proporrà quindi ogni mese una lettura desueta e allo stesso tempo affascinante nelle pieghe delle società locali: i culti, le antiche usanze, le consuetudini, la cultura materiale, le tradizioni popolari, l’artigianato ma non solo. Una duplice lettura appassionante tra fotografia e testi sulla scorta di un diario, autobiografico, del “Viaggio”, sarà la traccia che seguirà il prof. Battista svelandoci così un panorama etnografico e nello stesso tempo uno straordinario ambiente incontaminato dalle ricche sorprese e dalle aggregazioni sociali che hanno concorso quindi alle identità delle Regione Abruzzo.

Journal “in cammino… – paesaggi e genti d’Abruzzo” developed and edited by Prof. Vincenzo Battista using his own articles and photos, will lead us every month through a journey through time and places in the search of special sites, symbols, rites of an Abruzzo that is hidden, little known to the Internet community.

Vincenzo Battista’s “journey”, as a matter of fact, which will take us to a great variety of places in the Abruzzo Region, is also a “journey in memories”, to the rediscovery of our belonging to a community, of the roots and cultural identity so typical of this land between the Apennines and the Adriatic Sea. Every month “in cammino…” will offer an unusual, fascinating reading unfolding the identity of the local communities: the cults, the ancient customs, the usage, the culture of the objects, folk traditions, crafts and more. A two-fold reading through images and text based on the autobiographical diary of this “journey”. Following Vincenzo Battista this diary will unfold before our eyes the ethnographic landscape as well as the unspoiled, surprising environment of the social communities that made up the identity of the Abruzzo Region.
